Help where have my pictures gone

After a day of shooting I started to review some shots on the camera to get a message.
"this image cannot be displayed". Many of these I had viewed earlier in the day.

On trying to download from the sd card The computer returned a "this file is to large or corrupt" message

I have only taken about 200 shots with the K5!
I can see the file structure but yesterdays is all gibberish. See attached screen shot
Thanks
Graeme

You have a bad SD card, however there's a good chance that some image recovery software will be able to pull back most or all the photos. Don't do anything more to the card, stop trying to read it, copy it, or shoot any more photos on it, and google "SD card image recovery software". MAybe someone here wil have a software recommendation for you, I use Mac so not much help.

After you get what you can off the card, put that card in the bin and buy a new one.

Good luck

Indeed Graeme, it looks to be an SD card problem. What brand is yours?
When getting yourself a new one, stick to reputable brands such as SanDisk.

+1 Bad card.

You may try a few recovery packages. I have used successfully Recuva (Recuva - Undelete, Unerase, File and Disk Recovery - Free Download) developed by the same company which did Ccleaner.

Hope that the info will help ...
