K-5 screen defect?

Today, I grabbed my K-5 and turned it on to take some pictures while being bored around the house. To my dismay, I saw this:

I then put it in live view and get this:

The screen's colors are pretty much B&W. I took a few photos to see what they looked like, and on the screen they were messed up looking. I then removed the battery and all appears normal. The pictures I took look normal on the screen. Has this happened to anyone yet?

Never seen it.

You have some screen protector on it?

To clarify - So after to took the battery out and restarted the camera, the display went back to normal?

It's possible the display failed to fire up properly and it was "half-baked" on start. I would have first shut off the camera and powered it up again to see if that cleared it.

If it doesn't happen again, I'd consider it just a glitch.

I think I might have turned the power off before removing the battery. Don't remember, though. Let's hope this doesn't happen again ...

No one else has seen this? Should I just write it off until it happens again?

I saw this once on my K-5, very early in its life, but not since. I'm sure just a temporary glitch.
K-5 has taken nearly 7000 shots since without missing a beat.
