My Big Trip Across America

Hey all,

I had a great trip... 16 days across the country and back, NY to Washington State by train, and then driving back to Chicago over 6 days. My only complaint is that it wasn't enough time.

I shot with the K-5 and Leica M8... probably about 1/2 and 1/2. I had no problems with the K-5 at all, and it even took a pretty severe spill at one point (into a parking lot! - I gasped like I'd been stabbed - LOL).

Since I realize that most people don't want to browse through 1,000+ photos, I did a video... Across America and Back in 8 Minutes...

I also set up a gallery for anyone ambitious enough to want to see the photos in more details, along with some commentary...

DangRabbit Photography :: Big West Trip

and here are a few favorites from the K-5...

Thanks for looking!

Really nice pix, Amy! You're so lucky to be able to do that.
Makes me want to get on the bike and head across the country...again.
Thanks for sharing...and inspiring.

Wow, thanks for sharing that. Im in the process of sorting 8500 shots from a six week trip in the US. That was very inspiring.
Can I ask what sort of program is needed to make a video like that.
It made me feel like packing up and heading back over again.

These are all good photos, but that wild horses on the mountain shot is particularly awesome.

What was the story with that shot?
