Here in the UK we have £90 cashback on K5 body or K5 kit with lens. SRS Microsystems here is a Pentax Pro dealer from what I understand and the body is £729 - £90 = £639 ($1017.00 USD) with a two year warranty. I will try my hardest to get another K5 body soon!

Don's Photo in Winnipeg is offering the K5 for $949.00 Canadian until the end of the month. So I bought one!

It's not advertised, but Henry's in Canada has the K5 with the 18-55 (nonpWR) for $999.99. It's the only package they have for it, or so the sales person told me.

If you want my guess, when the rebate ends at the end of January, the camera will continue being sold at a higher price until its replacement is announced and/or stock runs out. Would be nice if Pentax didn't discontinue it alongside a new model, though, as it won't change the fact that it's a very good camera.
