If you contact B&H (not sure about Adorama) they are willing to refund the $200, so it's worth a try.

Thanks for the tip, Adam. My jaw nearly dropped as I came home from picking up my K-5 from UPS, going on to PF, and seeing that $999 pricing advertised on the top of this forum! If they do issue a refund, it's going towards a DA* 55mm F1.4 SDM.

Yes Adam is right, They dropped the price when my K-5 was in transit (it is still in transit) and I just had to fillout B&H online form requesting price adjustment. Guess what, they promptly responded to my request and immediately I got an official price adjustment statement. Great customer service from B&H. I can't wait for it to arrive. I have also ordered DFA 100mm Macro WR and 10-17mm fish eye. I am thrilled.

Good luck with your refund.

I couldn't stand it. No self-control. Just ordered my second K-5 as a second body (when I shoot with two) and a backup. Now I've a K-7 and a K-X that have to find a home.

I think you should buy another Kx to be sure. I have one, if interested, let me know. I am collecting money to buy my second K5 body too.

Good news on this end here, too. Just got an e-mail today saying that a refund has been issued! That money is going back to them, though. The question for me now is it going to the DA* 55/1.4 WR OR the DFA 100mm Macro WR??? (I wish that my coworker had not talked to me about getting a 100mm macro and that I didn't look at samples of the DFA...)

Camera Land NY (an authorized dealer like B&H and Adorama) is selling the K-5 body new for $899 this weekend through their ebay alias "cameraland". Just put in my purchase, woohoo! Come on ISO 80 DR!

That was a great deal- thanks for sharing it! Now, it looks like the rebate is set to expire on the 31st, so act fast if you want a k5!

Indeed looks like it's down to $989 for these last two days- and considering that B&H doesn't take orders Friday evenings or for most of Saturday, there's really not much time left to snag a cheap K-5!
