K5 works flawlessly.

Hey, I know there's a weird vibe in here with all the aggro photographers but as an FYI my new k5 has been a joy to work with. Ergos are amazing, learning all the bells and whistles has kept me busy every night after work, and trying to get the most from that kit lens has been nothing short of the funnest thing i've done this year. Sucks for me that I couldn't wait one more week to take advantage of the price drop.

Here's some 'around the house tests'.

I hate to be 'that guy', but I effing love this thing. I do have two complaints, 1. the SD card is too close to the door and the door has rubber weather sealing on the back. Popping the card out works, but that thing is a PITA. 2. the incessant blinking when I've got the settings incorrect. I'd prefer they change the color as the blinking is super-distracting. But seriously, I can't wait to get home and do more. I've got about 500ish shots off so far. Stay tuned.

Depending on where you bought it you may be able to have price protection, you ought to check with your seller.

As far as the sd card , in my case it has become easier to extract the card over time and usage.

You can turn off the flashing bright /dark indicator in the menus.

I have been searching diligently (out taking photos) but I can't seem to find anything wrong with my K5. Does that mean there is some thing wrong with it?

I just shot 98 pictures and a short vid. with a brand-spanking new K5 tonight. This thing is pretty good for high ISO and live-view af.

The USB cable works nicely for downloading photos. Then you never have to even open the card door. Sometimes, I even forget which card is In my camera, or I would if I had more than 2 cards. The K7 was the same way and after using my IR K20d for awhile, the card fit in that one is in a pretty tight space too.

You guys need to learn to relax! You still have a year of Warranty ( or maybe more) and if your new K5 is still performing perfectly, you can send it in for an even trade with one that isn't. This will speed up delivery for someone, making them happy, and give you a nice defective K5 so that you can come on here and whine about that.........you see...everyone wins!

So just chill, it is just this easy!
