Gimbal, I think you're misunderstanding my English. Two key qualifications in my original comment were: 1) "thus described" -- i.e., short of the distinction you just described but jerm1386 did not; and 2) "we would experience" -- vs. "we do experience".

That said, thank you for delineating the differences between these two internal SR systems.

Naturally, most of us here own Pentaxes and do so for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to internal SR. I'm curious: how many of you reading this would prefer Sony's quieter, more stable (i.e., more stationary) SR system to Pentax's (and I understand there are performance trade-offs between the two systems)? Just looking for an informal show of hands (and pardon me for dragging out this old thread).
