Yup I think that's right- you can take advantage of the 64gb/128gb cards, but the max speed is probably class 6 or 10 (I'm not sure on that).

That is insane. You can put 5.400 RAW images or 12.000 jpg pictures on it or over 3,5 hours of full HD movie.

EDIT: Can't find it now, but I read that K-5 was good for SDXC up to 64 GB cards. No idea if that is true now, or that it was just because there where no bigger cards in production at the time of introduction of the K-5.

I'm hoping it's just the case of the size was not anticipated when the firmware update was created (reminder: download the firmware update).

If I lose my current ebay bids then I may look into that 128GB SDXC card. Thanks for the link Adam!
Whoops! Well, winning a Black Spottie on ebay can't be bad now, can it? Something to post in the film forums when it's delivered.

Adam (or attentive Mod(s)). Does PF need pics of a black Spottie?

Received my K5 yesterday and had the battery on charge all last night. Seems to be working like a charm, but i've only been able to use it for 10 minutes or so before clocking in at work, but so far, it worked in all modes (including 2 short video recordings), but i'll have to wait to get home before checking for sensor staining.

P.S. I've not yet ordered an SDXC card, but the 8GB sandisk ultimate III that came with it shows to be able to hold around 8 minutes of video.(128GB ahould be 2 hours or more).

Even more then that. For video the it varies a lot, depending of the scene and light in your video. Something between 50 and 75 Mbit/s. I never seen a videoclip that was over 10 MB/s with stereosound.
