continuous shooting mode

Can someone please tell me why I can't use continuous shooting mode while in automatic (green mode)?

I just checked mine and there is no option for continuous shooting in green mode when I press the up arrow button of the four way controller.

Just use "P" mode, behaves almost exactly the same as the green mode but doesn't lock out such features

I have only used the Green Mode when handing my K5 to someone else to take a group shot. It turned out so good, I should probably use it myself!
Regards!

I don't know why you'd be shocked or why it even matters what mode a person wishes to use while creating photos with their equipment.

let's say it frankly : i've always found it very strange to buy a top end product and using it at the lowest of it's capacity.

It's like buying a Ferrari and only use it to drive around the block ...

Yeah, i have a big problem with this green mode :P

Being a motorcycle rider,i see it all the time. People spend THOUSANDS-tens of thousands even, on their bikes, just to bar hop...

Good thing for you it's not your camera. You can use yours however you wish.

Not everybody who owns a K-5 is an experienced user. Some people like to know power and handling are available when desired but may not prefer to use to use these enhanced capabilities until they have a more sound understanding.

Though I am a novice and do not personally use green mode, I can certainly understand why some users would choose to do so.

Yes indeed, I only drive my Ferrari in high gear.
I only use my Hasselblad in full-automatic mode.
I only use my flame-thrower to start forest fires.
I only play my Bang & Olufsen gear at full volume.
I always play my Ovation 12-string really loud too.
And I only lie when I think I can get away with it.

ObTopic: On my K20D, Continuous Drive works just fine in Green Mode.

No, it is not available in green mode. As far as why not, no idea and like they said, just put it in P-mode.
