Shutter release button has lost it's springiness

I went out for a shoot at Cramond Island the other day, and it was wet, drizzly and leak. T'was a lot of fun, make no mistake of it, and I'm incredibly impressed that the K-5 took sandy, salty sea spray in it's stride and came away from it with nary a mark to show. Except for one unfortunate wound, in the case of the shutter button.

It's now all but lost it's springiness, it still works fine, and I can half press for autofocus with ease, but it just doesn't feel right. I'm not entirely sure what could have happened, maybe some salt got underneath and broke a spring? I never dropped it or anything, and it never actually touched anything other than me for the whole time. Anyone have any idea what could have happened? I have it under warranty still, so I could get it sent off, but the company is USA based, so I'd be K-5-less for about two weeks :[ I think I'll just live with it for now.

TLDR: I took the K-5 out in one of the worst environments for electronics (sea spray/mist/harsh winds/sand/humidity) and came away from it with nothing but a button that doesn't feel quite right. I had the DA* 50-135 on by the way.

Might as well take advantage of the warranty while you still have it!
