Hi all,
I'm contemplating to get the ThinkTank Retrospective 5 and I have a K5 + 18-135 lens. I was wondering if it's possible to store camera+lens in this bag with the lenshood on (facing down) or whether I need to go for the larger bag?

I don't know anything about that bag but if you can fit the camera with lens in without the lens hood you will be fine.

Just reverse the lens hood on the lens.

Canon 5D and 16-35mm f2.8 shown (I don't believe there is room for the lens hood with this rig).

The Retrospective 5 spec says it's 7.8"H. I just measured my K20D and 18-135 with hood mounted, and it's ~7-3/4", so believe you'll be fine.

I currently own a Retrospective 30 and Streetwalker. Think Tank bags are well conceived and well made. I will probably get an R5 down the road. My current small messenger bag is looking a little rough.

I will order the R5 and if it's really too small, I'll return it and get the R10.
