However have you ever tried Nikon's own pancake - Nikkor 45mm? Photozone praised one they tested, and I think it is the only pancake for SLR made by anybody else than Pentax.
Possibly the only other recent pancake for SLR's, but it feels to me like most makers had pancakes in the good old days. (Konica 45/1.8, Olympus 40/2, Contax 45/2.8, Industar 50/3.5, and I'm going to assume the ones I don't know about also had them.)

My pancakes, other than a couple lens-in-a-cap mutants, include:

* Enna Sandmar 35/4.5 (Argus C3 mount, modded to PK) 22mm
* Meyer Helioplan 40/4.5 (Exakta mount, adapted to PK) 21mm
* Chinon 45/2.8 (PK-M mount, no modding necessary) 19mm
* Industar-50-2/3.5 (M42 mount, the usual adapter) 20mm

I also don't count short enlarger lenses mounted on the body.

No near-pancakes -- everything else I have protrudes over 30mm.

Ah, but what's a pancake? IMHO it must protrude 25mm / 1in or less.
