:-( I can't do it. I'm still on TDY and won't get back for a few days, and my settlement check won't come for several days after that. Maybe a post-Christmas sale will come around? or New Years?

Thanks. I'm moving up from the K-r (which I will be selling soon, into a flooded market I guess). I've put extra batteries, the grip, and some other things on my Christmas Wish List for the family too Now, which waterproof lens to add to the collection

mine is arriving today from adorama! i can't waitttttttt. I really want to do some video shooting with some of my primes and I already been looking at follow focus and dollly diy stuff. I know k-5 video has some lacking features and since I been playing with a 7D I know it's gonna dissapoint me a little bit.. but it's gonna be on PENTAX GLASSES!!!

I blew it. Ordered from Adorama, then cancelled because I saw the Amazon lightning deal coming and might be a lot less. It was only $20 less and I couldnt get in.
Then saw that B&H price matched but stupidly decided to wait until Tuesday, since it said the deal was good through the 29th. It wasn't.

I was lucky to get the Amazon lightning deal. Expecting to receive the camera before the weekend. Thinking about lenses now... This will be my first digital SLR and the first Pentax.

Frustrated here. The K-5 was scheduled for delivery yesterday so I waited until almost 6 since were at the end of the UPS delivery day here. Well, no camera and I got this from UPS last night:

11/30/2011 8:48 P.M. The package was missed at the UPS facility, UPS will deliver on the next business day.

Mine arrived yesterday, but one of the requirements is that it is my Christmas present, so I have to wait. Oh well, sometimes the anticipation is half the fun.
Maybe just one peek?

Mine was delivered yesterday - no time until this morning to open the box.

It feels ohhhh so nice in my hands compared to my K20D - one of the main reasons for upgrading were the ergonomics and for that alone I feel good about the purchase.

I've been charging the battery for a couple hours - I'm like a little kid waiting for the ice cream truck - I keep going over to see if the charge light is out yet - it seems like it is taking so long.............

I have one in transit. I was planning to get a KatzEye screen, but I understand that there are some metering issues in spot mode with fast lenses. I suppose I could switch back to center weighted as I got along just fine with it on the Spotmatics. Is there any improvement in manual focus with the screen supplied versus the K200d?
