Is this a dead/hot pixel ?

I was just enlarging up a photo on the computer to check some detail and noticed this square spot in a cloudy sky. Enlarged it's perfectly square so I'm assuming pixel but not sure. It shows up as the smallest dot on the normal sized image.

Could be. Run the PIXEL MAPPING tool -- it's in the [SetUp] menu on my K20D. If the pixel is dead or hot, the tool will heal it.

Agreed - it isn't really square, only enlarged to such a degree it begins to have pixeled edges. A hot pixel usually shows up as white after a longer exposure, and a dead pixel would only be 1 pixel, or a random cluster. This is somewhat circular and not even, lending itself to being dust. How much is this enlarged?

To me it looks like a dust,
Run "Dust Alert", That will definitely tell you if that's a dust spot.

Enlarged a lot, though having said that I ran a pixel map then took a photo of a blank wall, enlarged that and everything was clear again. Anyway it's not there atm whicj is the main thing. Thank's for looking.
