I don't know but I think the last 2 shots are of Notre Dame, in Paris

Totally agree with this - that one caught my eye with the colors especially. What wide angles were you using?

Yes they are. We spent just 6 12 hours in Paris, and I only had about 45 minutes to fire off some 25 shots.

Thank you. It's a nice shot, but whatever it is on that lower level that blocks the archways, really ruins it. I could not believe how much work was going on at all the sites. There were also many more people this time compared to our 2001 trip.

The DA 18-135 is a much better lens than you would imagine based on it's reviews and reputation. I took it, along with 4 other lenses on my last vacation (Bahamas Cruise) and the 18-135 never parted with the K-5.

Your shots look really good and I'm glad you didn't have any problems while on your trip. The more you use your K-5 the more you'll like it.

I was there in 2009 that same work was going on. I find the same at many big European historical sites ( Both times i was in the Loire a lot of the Chateaus had work being done. Every time i've been in Paris some monument or another is under restoration

Great shots...the last three being the Notre Dame in Paris, of course. Just a quick question...was the one in the Notre Dame with the smoke, taken on a Sunday 17:30 mass?

That work has been going on at the Colosseum for years and unless you are extremely lucky and time your trip when there is no construction work going on, you're going to get scaffolding or fencing, etc. No worries and great shots.

I think the Pantheon is my favorite from this set. I was looking through my thousands of Rome shots over the years and dont have one as nice of the Pantheon at night and with an almost empty Piazza.

I agree, the 18-135 is on my camera most of the time too! The combination of versatility and durability cannot be beat.
