This is not about the SR turning off and is my experience with K20D--but this seems to be an appropriate time and place to ask.

I notice I can consistently get good results at 200 mm and 1/15-1/20 sec, but going to much wider lens (21-28 mm) I can maybe do OK as low1/8 sec. One would think a much wider lens and SR should allow much lower shutter speed.

It may be a more complex phenomena (e.g., one has visual feedback of hand motion with long focal length) but I wonder if there is a time period (or lowest velocity) beyond which the SR cannot make an adjustment?

No, it's there on the K10d as well.

You're right, my bad - it's on the left side on the K10D. They moved it to center in K-7.

Yes: Pentax tags, SR tags.

If you don’t want to fire up Pentax DCU I would recommend Phil Harvey‘s ExifTool (Windows & Mac). For Windows users there’s a nice GUI: Bogdan Hrastnik’s ExifTool GUI. Quite fast – especially if you want to browse many files quickly.
