Good find! Loads a blank page for me. Pentax Japan still lists 1.11.

Doesn't have any details of the firmware 'fixes' the update addresses. We'll just have to wait & see.

It is Xmas/New year .. unlike myself some people get more than 2 days holiday.

This happened with a previous firmware and eventually it got linked.

Yes, the firmware 1.12 will definitely come according to the german pentax forum and friends from www.digitalfotonetz.de, may still last a few days due to the company holidays.
Still do not exactly know what it will fix

Greetings from Austria,
Sascha

Unfortunately, these seem to fix stability problems that arise when doing things I don't do rather than adding functionality I would find valuable. That might explain why I own five K bodies ..... nothing thick about the Pentax product staff!

It seems they took down the hint about firmware 1.12 and the download link now redirects to the 1.11 firmware...

So maybe Pentax UK screwed up and posted the link too early?

The firmware upgrade that never was? I checked the Canadian site and there are no new upgrades at it either. I was kind of hoping that by luck they would include a menu item that would allow the Live View button to be be reconfigured or disabled for those who keep bumping it with their noses. https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-k-5-forum/170267-live-view-comes-when-not-wanted.html.

Don't hold your breath on that one since the same problem would've existed in the K-7 also and that's even older. You'll have to curb your nose. A magnifier might be a good idea for you so you can move your face back slightly...

Cameras are designed to be used by right eye viewers. Either train yourself to use the camera that way or learn to live with bumping things.

Noob question here. If I update my firmware to 1.11, does it include all the prior improvements as well from prior firmwares (i.e. 1.03)? I believe my K5 is still on 1.02.

Thanks for the help!
