First PIcs with New K-5

Just got my K-5 and so far I'm loving it. Took it out for the first time this weekend...wanted to share my first "keepers" on my new camera.

All shots taken with K-5 and Pentax 35mm DA-L 2.4 lens.

Great shots. I like shooting with a prime lens too.

I think those 5 pictures have convinced me to go buy 35mm f/2.4. But then, I have to overcome 43mm

Amazing photos, 6 months with my K5 and nothing near yours! Can you share with me what kind of PP you have done with the LR3?

Oh, I love the DA35/2.4 as well. Imagine if they release DAL WR in 15, 40 and 70, they would easily kill some giants out there :x

Thanks for the kind words. Yea...that's the first time I've taken the 35mm 2.4 out...just got it for Christmas. I was very pleased with my results.

As for the LR PP...I didn't do much at all to numbers 2, 4, & 5. I may have adjusted the exposure slider a bit...and I probably slid the "blacks" slider a bit to the right...but that's about it on those 3. I don't even think I sharpened them at all...just a little exposure and black darkening.

Due to the composition/subject of 1 & 3 I knew that I wanted them to look "different" than just a plain vanilla shot. I just browsed through some of the presets over in the left hand column of Lighroom until I found one that gave me the tone I was looking for. From there I just adjusted exposure...slid the blacks over a little...and added a vignette. Nothing major...probably spent less than 15 minutes on each pic. That was my first time ever using Lightroom so I just kinda messed around until I was happy. I don't have a real workflow figured out yet for the program.

thanks for looking...
