Hi

No, I don't think you have to.

Had to return my K-5 here in Melbourne with the mirror flopping issue and a second time for a minor issue. I have the KatzEye fitted and kept it in, without any problem. All you have to do is to have all extras that remain with the camera recorded on the work sheet. The focusing screen is a user exchangeable option and does not compromise the warranty.

Good luck

Greetings

I feel like a right bloody numpty.

The camera is and has always been fine. It's the clown using it that's the problem.

I've got into a very heavy handed bad habit. When I switch on the camera I push too hard and too far on to Optical Preview. This cancels the prompt before it has chance to appear.

Sorry to waste your time guys

Bonjour JimD,

Glad to hear that there's no problem with your K-5 ...

Haha. No problem. Don't know how many times I have tried to start one of my motorcycles with the key off cussing so the neighbors can hear me. Glad to hear that is the issue so now I can keep from doing it, too.
