K-5 display

I am considering purchasing a K-5. One question that I have not been able to answer through various online documents is whether or not the display screen can be turned off/disabled, or does it always remain on?

Thank you.

I would assume it can be turned off if my k-x has that feature.

Yes, you can disable it (the so-called info screen). More info on that is in our k-5 review.

I keep mine off and rely on the viewfinder/top lcd unless I'm shooting on a tripod at night.

Yep, the K5 can turn it all off:
Guide screen,
Status screen
Instant playback
Adjust illumination on lcd

and so much more.
