Just brought home my K5!

My only reason for upgrading was the poor performance of my K7 indoors. (I love it and plan to keep it! 2 bodies with a long lens and a shorter one will be great on my hikes)
So I've been testing it and here are 2 shots, One with K5 and the other with K7. Noise difference is amazing!!
Any tips on settings for the K5 would be appreciated!

You are correct, the noise level in the k-5 is amazingly clean which makes the TAv mode a joy to use for indoor non-flash shots.

Enjoy your new toy...

I can't see the difference. The 2nd picture has better contrast in the dark area and sharper to me. I decide to skip K-5 and wait for whatever the replacement or X-Pro1.

Enjoy your new tool, the noise difference is significant indeed. About settings, -0.7 EV comp. takes care of the tendency to blow highlights.

The colour noise, a hint of banding.. yes, that was my K-7 once as well. A great camera when the light is up, but that sensor was not a step forward.
