Presenting myself as a sportsphotographer

It is just a little blog at the time, but the funny part is that it is also a nice way to present yourself. The site came to my attention true one of the earlier interviewd photographer that I follow on twitter. For me a nice way to present myself and promote my using of Pentax gear:

It's the funny google translate version, since the origin is in Dutch.

Trough the eye of your lens | Ron Hendriks

I'm the first Pentax user (offcourse). Pictures made with K-5, all but the last one, that is with K-7.

"Currently I have a K-5 and a K-5 Limited Edition Silver (because it is so beautiful bling)"

I giggled a bit at this line

Nice little story Ron, and great Pics, "who says you can't still do Sports Photography with Pentax" a lot of proof there you can.

Translation was a bit odd in spots Yes, almost like reading some of the Machine service manuals we have here at work...

Thanks for the Link.

Nicely done Ron. I also use a K5 and have recently purchased the Sigma 70-200 F2.8 OS, and a FA* 300 F4.5. You mention in your description that you use a monopod for sports. Do you shoot sports with Shake Reduction on or Off? I have heard that with sports panning shots one is better off to turn SR off in order to ensure sharp shots.

Well I don't do a lot of panning, but for that I would turn of SR. I did use with Sigma the OS on step two for panning and that works nicely.

I did some verticale panning with diving, and for that I turned off SR, because it will blur your image. I turned the head of my monopod for this so it turns the other way, up/down.

Other ways with like soccer I keep SR on when using my monopod.

THAT'S why my panning shots today were all funny. Duh!

Nice shots here Ron, BTW. :-)
