K5 ISO selection

Hi all!

I have noticed that the K5, under Sv program has a lot more ISO numbers to select than any other program, ie, in Sv I can shoot at ISO 8000 while if I am at Av program, I have to choose between 6400 or 12800. While ISO 12800 is very noisy, ISO 8000 it isn't that much and could make a difference. I normally never shoot in Sv program but in Av.

I wonder if this is normal, as I did not find any option in the menu to allow to select "in between" ISO numbers.

Help is appreciated

Thanks very much

Try changing your ev steps from 1/2 to 1/3.

Thanks for your suggestion! Never thought it would be that. There is also another option called Sensitivity Steps that has to be set "As EV".

Thanks very much for your assistance

After ISO1600 all the ISO gains are done by the processor so if you're shooting RAW you can shoot at ISO6400 and simply overexpose that later, i doubt you will see a difference.
