turn off auto iso

How do I turn off the auto iso function permanently? Again and again I change the iso manually bit every time I restart the camera, the iso auto function is working again. I hate that: I want to decide what ISO value I use, and not that the camera takes that decision.

I use the shutter speed modus.

Make sure that sensitivity is checked under the "Memory" entry in the record menu. Then, press the ISO button while shooting and use the rear e-dial to change the ISO value. It will never go back into auto for you again

In fact, I spent a long time wondering how to get my camera into auto mode to begin with- turns out you just have to press the green button and the ISO button at the same time.

I wasn't even aware that was possible until I discovered it completely by accident a full year after purchasing my camera.

That works! I did read the manual 100 times but I couldn't find how to do it. Now I know. Thanks a lot.

Sometimes the manuals just do not make it very clear!

Adam,
If then you press those two buttons again, does one returns into non-auto ISO?

Just select an ISO and it's no longer auto-iso.

Read the camera manual.

I had this problem today, some accidental change of settings resulting from walking around with it switched on.

Problem was, my manual is in England and I am in Australia and downloading the full manual and reaing on screen seemed too hard.

Adam had the answer.
