How to set Setting non-standard ISO

I have tried to find how to adjust the ISO of my K5 to something other than 80-100-200-400-800-1600-3200 etc, I have noticed pictures in which auto ISO calculates something like 1800, 200 or 2200. As long as the camera is calculating that, I would like to set it myself. Sometimes the noise at 3200 is a bit much and I can't get the exposure I want at 1600.

How do I do this?

In the menu change the 'Sensitivity Steps' to #2, AS EV Steps
The default will give you only the whole ISO step.

I didn't even think of ever having ISO in steps other than 1EV, I've been shooting in Av since before I owned a DSLR. I will have to try it out. OP- Thanks for bringing it up.

Thank you VERY much. It really helps to understand the terminology. Just made the change and it works like a champ! (Yeah, I know - what did I expect?) Now to go out and take advantage of it!

I liked it too, and the thread is only one year old, not four. OP started it in March of 2012.

Btw, this works for the K-x and the K-30 too.
