My new K5 is on it's way...

...and I need somewhere to discharge my excitement and anticipation. I should have just paid up for fast delivery, cos this is agony... I am following it on Amazon tracking as it travels oh so slowly across the UK... It's not due to arrive till the end of the week... I also fell for the discount offer, it's on sale for £699 on Amazon, plus a free rucksack camera bag.

I'm looking forward to using it for video - not something I've tried before. I'll be sad to see the K10D go, but it's just not up to the job anymore. I took it to a pub and took pictures of my friend's band. I had to go to 1600 ISO, and the pictures were just not useable.

Congratulations!
You're going to love it I'm sure.
I've been shooting with a K-5 for a little over a year now and it's been nothing but a great piece of equipment to date. (knock on wood ).

Don't forget to share some images.
Those first ones are always the best

ISO 1600? I don't think I've shot that low in a long time.

You're going to love the K5. Oh, and always pay for the fast shipping. What's a few more dollars?

Thanks all... Some pictures here. Not great artistically, but interesting as samples.

I have to admit, the files aren't coming out super sharp as I was expecting... Though maybe that's more down to my expectations and technique.

The first two with SMC-A 50 f1.7, the last with Sigma 24 f2.8 Super-Wide.
