Spec in K-5 Viewfinder

Rushed home today to open my new K-5 and lenses. Everything is superb EXCEPT for the huge spec in the viewfinder! Any way to clean the focusing screen or whatever is harboring this annoying spec without having to send my camera back?

Thanks!

Should be easy, just blow it away (preferably not with your mouth, but if you've got to then that will work as well).

Here's a whole thread about specs in VF's. Have a couple of drinks before you read it.

Dumb question...how do I just blow it off? Through the lens mount?

Yup, take off the lens and start blowing.

Cool, thanks Adam. I'll give it a try. If I get saliva on the sensor and ruin it, you'll buy me a new K-5, right? Thanks!

eeeeek!!!!

PLEASE DON'T blow in there - there's bacteria and moisture in your breath (no offense and they will just attract MORE dust or worse, multiply).
Just buy a blower - 10 bucks!

Also, be careful not to touch the focus matt - it will get damaged.

What kind of blower would you recommend?

Giottos Rocket Air Blower - (Large) 7.5" AA1900 B&H Photo

These come in numerous sizes. Get a lens pen while you're at it -the soft brush is super-useful...
Or a couple, one for each of your bags.
