Hairline crack on focusing screen

Well this is weird. Today I noticed at the bottom right hand corner of the etched middle bracket, what I thought was a fiber on my screen, turns out to be a crack. I guess that's what it is, as it does not move when touched with a q-tip. It comes out from the corner as an upside down v (2 little hair looking lines right out from the corner of the etched bracket line). It doesn't affect anything imagewise, but it is annoying. Not about to send the camera in for just this, even though it is only a couple of months old. The camera has never been dropped or even bumped, I wonder what caused it? Maybe I should look into a Katzeye screen as I only shoot manually.
Anyone ever had this happen or seen this before?

Did you remove the focusing screen and check both sides?

Probably not gone, just no longer visible. It will likely return at some point, unless you blew it out when you had the focus screen out. Seems like every time I try to clean stuff off the screen, I introduce more and different stuff.

I guess that is one advantage of mirrorless...
