Just to add something on K5 pricing, I purchased a K5 + 18-55 WR lens from Teds Camera Store 2 weeks ago for $999.95 delivered.
Quite happy withy the deal as it has the CR Kennedy Pentax warranty. Normally would not have considered Teds, but they were OK this time. Notice the K5 is not listed now at this price on their site.
Problem with DCI etc is that the item will go back to Sydney if 'defective', but then after evaluation, Sydney forward the item on to Hong Kong for their evaluation. If HK decide a defect actually exists, item will be repaired/replaced and sent back to Australia. - Confirmed this process with DCI support person. We need to keep in mind that this process could take weeks.
Better to pay the extra and get full Australian warranty through a local dealer.
