K5 Battery Grip

Seriouslt thinking of buying battery grip [and not a cheapo look a like!] I am just not sure of the product number.

Any help would be useful plus if any memeber knows a good best price supplier.

D-BG4 - highly recommended!

I got mine at B&H - Amazon would have been fine too.

You mean there is a battery grip for Pentax P5? That's funny, because only takes 2 cell batteries.

I have had my camera and grip for three weeks now. I recommend it. Gives you a much more solid hold on the camera. I leave mine on all the time. I am a bit intrigued by the Bower grip. It cost $110 less. It may be a good emergency backup.

There was the Motordrive-A (8x AAs), sadly you still needed the 2 button batteries in the camera though.

I've tentatively changed your thread title to read "K5". Here's the OEM grip for the K-5:

I've been using the Pentax D-BG4 grip on my K5 for several months now and I can't speak highly enough of it.

In portrait mode it is an absolute joy to use, and when I mount my Sigma 70-200 f2.8 or DA* 300 on the camera it seems to give the combination a much better feel in the hand and definitely feels more balanced.

And not to forget the 'Wow' factor. With the D-BG4 mounted, your K5 looks like a seriously professional piece of kit.
