Buy it. It should last for years.
I'm still using my k10, with hopes to buy the k5 shortly, but will keep my k10 as a back up.

Cameras will always be upgraded, and I'm not in a position to buy a new body every time one is released.
I'm on about a 4-5 year cycle.

The k10 has been great, not without a few minor problems, such as high iso noise and a few af issues, which I think the k5 seems to have addressed.
The k5 is a bargain at its current price.

To put things into perspective: people are still happily snapping away with the K20D, which came out in 2007 and is pretty sluggish in comparison to the K-5. So, the K-5 will likely be considered a "good" camera for another 3 years or so, at least
Gee, thanks. BrownBag
