I agree with you.
After few years and Nikon can come up with D800 that is marginally better (way too big and heavy for me) and costs 2-3 times of a K5, i will keep with my K5 and wait for a K5 upgrade.

Even the OMD Olympus has better video than the D800, in terms of build, it is k5 all the way, IQ is D800, but remember that they have Sony Sensors, IMO K5 is a workhorse, and D800 is a specific purpose camera, no wonder Nikon is releasing the D600 on the fall to compete especially with the K3
