somethings wrong

hi all,

i am not really sure if i accidentally changed a setting. everythings doing fine the last time i use it but today i get blurry pictures even if my shutter is at 1/120. but it seems somthing is moving inside if i press the shutter. just like the mirror flops twice that will make the pics taken twice and hence the blurry image.

Is the camera set to autofocus or did you accidentally move the switch to manual focus?

The double exposure could be caused by having auto-bracketing enabled. You can turn that off in the drive menu.

You'll find Exposure Bracketing described on pages 109-111 in the K-r manual.

But in short: Press the Up-button on the directional pad, you'll get the "Drive mode" menu. There you can see if exposure bracketing is enabled (the choice to the far right). Set it on "Single Frame Shooting" if it's not there already.

Hope this helps!

You need to do a bit of problem solving yourself to narrow down the possible causes as there are potentially dozens of possibilities. It's like asking your doctor to diagnose your medical condition on the basis of "I have a headache".

im about to sell my k5 coz of this problem (even posted my camera for sale)...
just an hour ago, found the culprit...
its in the switch with the select lever (maybe a little bit loose) together with the af button at the back.
now can shoot at 1/10 without blurry pics.
just want to share if somebody out there have the same issues.
thanks to all who posted.
