Fisheye Converter

Apologize if this is a repeat. It is my 3rd attempt.

Searched forums under "converter" and found only TELEconverters (>1.0x). Anyone have experience, comments, advice or recommendations for fisheye (eg .3x), not wide angle (eg .7x) converters?

$60 on Amazon (Yeah, I know cheap equals bad. But $700 isn't in the budget for something that may end up as a paper weight.)

The Precision Design .25X is the affordable fisheye optic for useful, unusual and fun pictures you otherwise wouldn't be able to obtain.
WILL WORK WITH ANY LENS WITH A FILTER SIZE OF 52mm, 55mm, 58mm & 62mm (lens is 58mm, 3 adapter rings included) which includes most Nikon, Canon, Olympus, Minolta Maxxum / Sony Alpha, Pentax, Tamron, Sigma, Tokina and other major brand lenses.
This 0.25x Super Fisheye Lens can mount to almost any digital or film SLR lens made with optional adapter rings.

I gues I'm hoping to make the best of the available bad choices.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Gene

That's WAY overpriced. I got my Precision Design Super AF 0.25x Fisheye Converter (58mm thread, with step-ring set for 52-55-62mm) for US$20 shipped from Shanghai, just a couple months ago. I use it on my DA18-55 or DA18-55 @18mm on APS-C for full-circle fisheye. It is not good. It is also not as bad as my Kenko 180 Degree Fisheye adapter, and it's not much worse than my Sigma-made Vemar 12/8 (full-circle on 135/FF). It is a fun toy. I do not use it expecting quality images. Since a hamburger in San Francisco can cost more than US$20, it passes my "buy it if it's cheaper than a burger or sandwich" test. Look for a cheaper copy, and have fun!
