Best camera in the world

So after using this camera for 2 years i came to this conclusion. This is simply the best camera in the world. crop, mirrorless, full frame, anything...

It's compact, it's fast, it's by far the best looking of any DSLR's(god it really is a handsome one), it's weather sealed, strong like a T-90 tank, it has amazing ergonomics, it has a great range of amazing lenses, it has probably the most intuitive controls/interface,.... you don't see a milion people walking around with it(i do care about that), and on top of that it makes pictures of beautiful quality. Oh and did i mention how sexy it is? How many girls that came to me, not for my phonenumber, but to know wich camera i'm using, and if i could take their picture. (after i got some of their nr, god bless pentax)

Somebody over here agrees or am i just being to much in love with the K-5...???

Keep that, it helps you stay young (and foolish)

I have to agree, since i feel the same way about my k5. Sure, there are times when i complain about its low light af performance, but that is literally my only gripe with it right now (i shoot a lot of indoor events).

I'm often surprised that so many ppl on my local forum keeps talking about their DSLR being too big and the system being back breaking after adding in a lens or two to their travel bag.
They know not that actually a Pentax camera would have solved that problem without a need to sacrifice the DSLR form factor.... kind of sad... for them..

K5 = Best Camera?
Its a prefect balance of size, handling, price and performance even up to this point of time.
Other cameras can be better in some aspects, but they always lose out on some other factors (size, weight, cost, sensor performance, etc)

Strangely enough it's the K10D for me, sure the K5 is better in all aspects but i still like the K10D more.
When it's time to upgrade i'll keep the K10D and sell the K5.

And an even more powerful statement knowing it's an assessment that's tempered with your experience using all the other high-end cameras out there with their glass.

K-5 is best so far. Though I wish it had the K10D's SR On/Off hard switch. Would be nice at times.

Good to see a few mentions of the K10 here.
The output of the K-5 and the usability and body of the K10 and we have a winner.

The correct answer to the question "What is the best camera in the world?" starts the same way as the answer for 99% of photography questions.

That depends.....

My K-5 is the best so far ... with the only exception of my first love, a K1000 ... it's nostalgia and I purchased one a few months ago that I have yet to replace the light seals ... no time, arhg!

Salut, J Frog

I really like the K1000 body as well. Perhaps there is some nostalgia there because it was the first SLR I ever shot (high school photography class). I think you could back a dump truck over it and it would probably still work...well maybe not. Anyways, the thing is solid and built like a tank.

I haven't used enough cameras to really give a verdict, but I like the K-5 a lot.
