I don't remember exactly... but I think has something to do with some of the auto functions that you might use... like highlight and shadow correction...
I think in some auto functions, it needs a specific minimum ISO in order to perform... even MX-1 has something similar. Once you turn the options off, it gives you ISO 100. Otherwise minimum is 200.

Don't have the K-5 anymore so can't confirm exactly.
