filters for pentax 18-135 mm compatible with hood

Hello everyone,

Can you please let me know what branded filters can I use with 18-135 mm lens and hood on ?

Other than cokins that have the square format any normal screw in filter should work.

Just make sure its 62mm.

And what if 82 or 87 is larger than the lens hood? ;-)

Then buy a 82 or 87 threaded hood?(You'll probably still be saving a large chunk of dough, even for two lenses.[Hoods are cheap, glass isn't, sadly])

But for a DA18-135 you need a petal shaped hood so it doesn't vignette in the corners at wide angle.
The screw in hoods are mostly all circular if I recall correctly. Also the hood will rotate if used with a CPL and a petal or rectangular screw hood wouldn't be too good .

Just get a 62mm filter and use the DA18-135s own hood with the handy little cutout for rotating a CPL. easy.

Or yeah. Only use this logic with lenses which *can* be reasonably worked with.
