Random shutter firings

So I was out with my K5 canoeing with old friends when I went to take a picture and the camera just starting firing the shutter.

I looked over all my setting and everytime I touched any switch or button the camera would fire. Sometimes multiple times. I could not take a picture and no settings were visible in the viewfinder.

I took out the OEM battery and still nothing. I finally did a reset in the menu, lost all my custom settings (#%^@) and seem to have a temporary reprieve.

It started happening again for a bit and now seems to be gone.

It was a hot day, 28 or so.

Now what?
