Constant shutter fire.

Hi all, I don't know if the title is right but her is what happened to me on my trip to Italy.

After a full battery recharge, My K5 would fire at every touch at any bottom whether it was the menu, info, playback etc. The only way to stop it was to press optical preview.

The shutter only fires, no picture is taken.

The next time the battery was full, the shutter would go of again but a quick optical preview and it went away.

Do anybody have the same experience?

Happened to my K-5 too

Send it to Pentax to get it fixed, they know how to fix the problem by now.

That sounds like the known "K-5 Mirror Flop" issue discussed here:

Thanks for the link K57XR, it seems that I am not the only one (which I suspected) with the mirror flops.
I am not sure that Pentax (my photo shop) will take my camera back for a repair. The flops I have, with a fully charged battery, disappear when I press optical preview I could live with that. But I will make some inquiries regarding a repair.

CRIS repaired mine a year ago and it has been fine since then. They did a great job.
