Using old Tamron SP 35-210 1:3,5-4.2 with K-5, aperture control ?
Hi
First post in this forum.
Recently got my first DSLR, my Pentax k-5.
Sorry for my english, maybe not perfekt but I hope I can make myself understood.
Yesterday I got some lenses for a very good price, like the Pentax SMC 50mm f1.4 prime, works perfekt in A-mode.
Also i got this Tamron telezoom, but I can't control the apperture.
Camera says F-- and i set for aperture ring mode in menu, then i can ues this lens, but only with aperture fully open.
If lens is detatched from camera, I can set aperture manually with ring, but when i mount it opens fully, even in "AE" mode, this lens use an adaptor saying "For Pentax K.M."
I was thinking if I can set manual aperture control in camera ?
The other solution I see is to cut the pin on the lens that controls aperture, and use it fully manual.
Other solutions for this ?
/Magnus
