K-5 on the way!

Sold all of my Nikon gear to go back to Pentax. I bought a LNIB K-5, a LNIB Sigma 10-20/3.5, a Tamron 70-200/2.8 and a wicked sharp Pentax 35/2.4. I am so looking forward to using the K-5. Oh yeah, I still do all of my flower/macro photography with my k-r!

Congratulations. I own two of the three lenses you have purchased (the 3rd was not available when I bought a alternative to it). The only thing else that you might want to consider is a battery grip. They're soooo useful on the K-5 and if you don't need water resistance with it I've found the $39 model to be a great bargain.

Enjoy!

That's something I need to probably purchase too! Thanks for the info!

My review here links to a terrific compare and contrast thread on the two main variants of the D-BG4 knockoffs available.

Just got my K-5 today. I love the feel of it in my hands. Looks like I will need to sell my MF lenses and my k-r to get another body!

My K-5 is also in its way to Finland from Holland. First DLSR for me. Ordered the Sigma 18-50mm F2.8-4.5 DC lens, Manfrodo 055XPROB and a Lowepro bag. That should get me started for landscape shooting. The Sigma is a bit of a budget lens, but maybe it is an upgrade compared to the kit lens...
