My new K-5

I sold all my Canon gears (5d mark iii, 35mm f/1.4L, 85mm f/1.8, 135mm f/2.0L, 24-105mm f/4.0L) and switched to Pentax.
Ordered a K-5 from B&H, FA primes from eBay, and a DA 21mm from a fellow PentaxForums user.
Received the gears yesterday:

I'm really in love with Pentax's light-weight and high quality primes and camera body.
Now I'm a happy Pentaxian

Wow! You sold a 5DMKIII for a K-5? I love my K-5 more now that I know someone did that. Congrats and welcome aboard!

Your not really a happy Pentaxian until you start complaining about something Pentax should be doing...

Whoahza, that's a serious collection you sold to come into Pentax. Hope you enjoy the lightness of the k-5 with the Ltds!

Try to also get a DA*55 so you can enjoy using a fantastic lens in terrible weather!

Congratulations on the move, I think. I switched from the 5D MKII last year and haven't looked back. Of course I sometimes get the itch for full frame now and then, but when I see someone lugging a 5D MKII or D700, it all comes back to me. Smaller, weather sealing, limited primes, Voigtlander manual focus lenses, what's not to love. If Pentax offers small ff, I may jump on it though!

Let us know how you like your new kit (ergonomics and imaging wise).

Congrats - nice kit! I came over from a Canon 40D and also really like the K5 with the DA limiteds I have collected. Enjoy!

Congrats, sold my D700, Tamron 28-75, Tokina 19-35 and my SB-700. Picked up a LNIB K-5, Sigma 10-20 3.5 HSM, Tamron 70-200 2.8, 35/2.4 AL and a Metz flash. I am LOVING the controls and interface on the K-5, especially how the screen rotates with the camera. Now that is the kind of stuff I like seeing.

I took my K-5 to an event today and I brought my 35/2.4 AL and my Sigma 10-20 3.5 HSM. No need for a telephoto. It was so nice to have such a high-quality setup that was so lightweight. Love that Crumpler 6-million dollar bag for sure!

I love my 10-20, but lightweight she's not! Well, not in Pentaxworld... Have hardly used it after I got the 15 Ltd, which is a shame. It's too nice a lens to just gather dust.

But a warm welcome to all new pentaxians!
