Give Pentax Canada a call. I didn't get a response by email, but on the phone they are very helpful. They will tell you how much. It is worth it. I had my body in for other reasons, some repairs and warranty, and the focus works much better.

...an important thing to remember is that the change is cumulative. So!whatever you add stays. If you +120 and then close it and then open pkthether again and +120, you now have +240. It doesn't go back to zero and it doesn't tell you how far out you are. So you never know what true zero is anymore.
I think you'll find the DEBUG firmware (v. 1.12 and 1.13 at least) does remember & display the correct cumulative total, even after switching the K-5 off and back on again.

It does remember, you can see the last (sum) value over the correction bar in the debug menu. Just tinkered with the debug mode today...

Thanks all for your input.

I have one final question: if I go into debug mode and make an adjustment would I be able to correct that adjustment by subsequently entering the opposite entry ( ie if I originally changed autofocus by +120 could I subsequently change by -120 to bring camera back to original state).

If the answer to the above is affirmative I will attempt the fix myself.

Cheers, and thanks again for your input

Yes, very definitely. The debug AF adjustment module shows the cumulative total from one session to the next, so it's very easy to reverse an adjustment.

Cheers
