K5 Dust Removal Tool

Just upgraded from a K-x to K5...

The K-x dust removal tool is pretty loud and makes the body of the camera shake... I sort of goes "brbrbrbrbrb!"

Just set the K5 dust removal tool off and couldn't tell if it had happened...

Normal or should I freak out...?

Normal. It's been redesigned to be "supersonic" and supposedly better.

Thanks JinDesu... Exactly what I wanted to hear!

Bought the K5 body used but have a years warranty on it... Hopefully I won't need it!!

Bit of a learning curve on the controls though and feature though... Small backwards step til I get used to it I guess (in terms of 'my' speed)

Good luck

I played with the k-30 and k-5 in store and I'll admit, the hardest thing to adjust to is the front control dial. I kept on forgetting what was assigned to it in each mode.

Yep - I've already switched them round so that the back-wheel controls shutter speed as I won't have to change the aperture in as much of a hurry...

Customizing the Green button took me AGES to work out as well... Burried on page 2 of a sub-menu!!

Haha - hopefully I catch on quick like you do when I upgrade next year

Thanks for the tip of putting shutter on the back wheel.
