lynx426 did you find any issues with the camera ? I too bought a K5-II from yodobashi last week . I seem to have some issues with a DA*16-50 lens with the K5-II. With the sigma 50-500 the results are good.

For the benefit of those of us still to buy the K5ii, what were the issues please?

Mentioned in another post https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/welcomes-introductions/202859-pentax-k5-i...-too-slow.html , the issue seems to be in the 16-50 , the image is not sharp enough, compared even to my manual focus lenses.

Lynx426

I have shot with the DA limited 70mm, DA Limited 35mm Macro, DA 100mm WR and the DA 18-135mmWR. These were also used on my K5. The K5ii is much faster in focus lock. I have not shot with a Da* 16-50mm. I would at this point suspect your lens. I have both cameras' and the K-5ii has a much better focusing system on it than the first K5.
