K-5 Flash: Unexpectedly Great?

Anyone else surprisingly impressed by the K-5's flash? I purchased a AF 360 FGZ flash for my K10D but have yet to use it on my K-5 because it's built-in flash is so darn good (for basic flash usage that is - I'm not talking fancy flash photography here).

I actually think it is one of the best I have had on a DSLR. Although mine is set to -2 exposure adjustment for most activities. If a big hall then back to full but -2 give a nice fill or regular flash with no blown highlights for most situations.

I am rather surprised with the flash on my K-5 as well, was using it the other night at the local fair along with my 18~135 lens and I was surprised at the reach I was getting with that little built in flash.

I'd say it's very good for built-in. The biggest issue I have is lens shadow at extreme wide angle, like with the 18-55 kit lens at 18mm. Even without the hood I get a nice prominent shadow in the bottom of the frame when shooting close subjects. It is surprisingly powerful. I do have an AF360FGZ, but it rarely gets used. You do need to be careful of high ISO's when using auto-ISO and flash... this can easily blow-out the exposure. I usually dial mine in manually to 400 or lower depending on the scene.
