is K5 low & colored light focus inferior to Kx?

My situation is that I do a LOT of low light shooting but I don't have any lenses faster than 2.8 -- Maybe that is why I have never really had focus problems with the K100d or Kx except when there was clearly too little light and then I just focused manually. I don't really understand if the K5 focus in low and colored light is inferior to the Kx or not.

(my K5IIs arrived defective and, since I have to return it and get a new one quickly and don't want 2 K5IIs's on my card simultaneously it is tempting right now to consider the defective K5IIs as a sign and just order a K5 right away.)

My K-5 autofocus is extremely better than my old k-x, for both speed and precision.
Except in low light, where k-5 is slower (sometime frustrating) than k-x but more accurate.

My K-5's are leaps better in low light and colored light AF than my K-x. The presence of the AF assist light may be a factor. The K-5II however I think is the right choice due to the specialized nature of AF for low light.

I would also agree the k5 focusing is quite a bit better than the kx in low light conditions. the visible focus points help me a lot as I am almost always in spot focus mode. also, the k5 has the focus assist light; the kx does not.
