Owl with K5 and DA*300

Here is a mated pair of Owl's on our property, and then one of them flies away. The 100% crop is to show how nice the DA* lens is.

Awesome! I love to see these shots of wildlife I've yet to see outside a zoo, The DA*300 is a favorite of mine as well. (Put a Q on the end of that DA*300 and you can get in real close.)

There are plenty of places for the wildlife shooting in LA beyond the Zoo.

from Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Reserve in the center of 6 million people San Fernando Valley:

P.S. Many times I saw and heard Great Horned Owl in the dark in nearby O'Meleveny Park, but never had a luck to see/shoot them in the daylight

Thanks. There is also very interesting place in Arcadia - LA Arboretum: peacocks, hummingbirds, herons, gees, ducks, turtles, and lots and lots of flowers. Highly recommend to visit it.
