K-5 IIs, Overcast day with rain showers.

Got bored today so headed out and shot a quick few in Tv mode, 18-55 WR.

No PP at all. ISO 400 . Shutter at 125.

Very nice. Both look like some sharpening has been added compared to what I'm used to see from cams with AA.

Thanks, F/10 on the first and F/6.3 on the second.

I really just wanted to see how it does with mixed textures with a cheap WR lens. It got wet too but no issues as to be expected.

I wasn't suggesting you did. It's just awesome the K-5 IIs shots look that way

I know

I will keep posting images in this forum for a few days just so that people can see some everyday type of stuff.

Nothing major and after that I'll stop bugging you all and just post in the galleries.

I look forward to seeing some more everyday shots.

I've just pre-ordered my IIs and have been thinking heavily about my choice ever since given all these doom and gloom technical posts about the lack of AA filter!

Real world unedited shots is exactly what we need to see.

Cheers!

Yes, me too. I've read and hear we shouldn't worry too much about moire on everyday photos yet I see moire her and there in reviews and whatnot - that leaves me a bit confused :P

What we really need is indeed some everyday photos.

Added a few more from the same set, again sorry for the composition but I was just messing around.

Same lens, settings etc as in the first set.

Found it. The detail from the K5 IIs is absolutely mind boggling. Thanks for posting these.

Thanks to old studio TV cameras which AA filters are inherited from, I am so glad "Moire Paranoid" era has come to an end finally. Better life's, happy faces on the human kind, phew.
Fashion photographers can keep getting their cameras with thick AA filters.
