K5 Video

I had hoped to use my K5 for video b-roll, but alas, it doe not do it for me. First I need auto-focus which the k5 seems to be devoid of. Secondly, it goes from light to dark the whole time I'm shooting video. I'm posting this in hope that someone here can tell me what "I" may be doing wrong. The link below is an example of what I'm saying, shot yesterday at my home.

I think that's the camera trying to change the exposure settings. Unfortunately, manual video controls beyond EV shift aren't available on the K-5 (they are on the K-01 and K-30, though).

The only one doing continues AF right DSLR like camera is sony with their fixed mirrors.
The exposure can be locked with the K5.

you want a panasonic g3 or a camcorder like the sony vg30, vg900
or the "Ae-lock" button to prevent the camera from adjusting the exposure on the fly.

It looks like exposure is measured at a small area of frame (maybe at the center of frame). May be you should to check the selected Metering Method.

Thanks D0n,
I have a Panasonic AF-100 for most of my video needs, but was hoping to get some b-roll from the K5. Trying out the yours and other suggestions on here. Thanks again!
